Non-fiction
I just love first person narrative. So of course I have found it to be a great voice for my non-fiction essays. Believe it or not, these tales of chilling horror are true. Okay, so maybe there's no horror in them at all, but I've got to say something to get you to read them.
"Remember me?" There's a wonderful site that you may have heard of called "The Fray". People can submit short, non-fiction stories, and they make them into narrative websites. I submitted this one a while back, and like other times, it was rejected. But since I obviously felt it was good, I'm sharing it here.
"The Serpent" I took a creative writing class, and we were supposed to come up with a story for publication. It had to be true, and this is what I picked. The original was rejected due to content, so I had to pare it down to the story that you see here. I'm actually glad, since this one turned out better.
Fiction
I seem to have difficulty with actually finishing my short stories. As a result, I don't have many that are in a state to be displayed on this site. Narrow those down to the ones that I'd actually allow anyone to read, and you've got these two.
"The X-mas Files" - I wrote this one a long time ago. So long, that I don't actually remember when offhand. Nonetheless, it still entertains me, so I saw it fit for inclusion. I even had another episode planned, but it never got off the ground. If you dig Frank Miller, you'll probably like this one.
"Seasons' Whisperings" - I'm a big fan of Robert Chambers' "The King in Yellow". So much so that I just had to write my own fan-fiction story based on his book... or should I say the book. I submitted it for publication on a horror fiction website, but they didn't take it. That's okay. The King will punish the disbelievers... |
